Cruise Norway is a B2B membership organization representing Norwegian cruise ports and DMO, from the mainland to Svalbard. We also collaborate with partners from ship and shore excursion agencies, attractions, and other key cruise industry suppliers. Since 1992, we have facilitated and coordinator, working to position Norway as a leading nature-based cruise destination.
Our primary focus is on strengthening the framework conditions for the cruise industry in Norway by engaging with local and national authorities, ensuring a balanced and sustainable approach to cruise tourism. We actively work to support year-round tourism, contribute to economic development in coastal communities, and emphasize the need for modern, innovative ports that can meet future demands for sustainability, efficiency, and visitor experience.
As an industry representative, we work to ensure a well-regulated, responsible, and future-oriented sector that aligns with Norway’s environmental, social, and economic goals. Through dialogue, policy work, and collaboration with stakeholders, we aim to improve understanding of the industry’s value and its role in coastal communities.
Cruise Norway is also part of a strategic alliance with European cruise associations, including Cruise Baltic, Cruise Britain, Cruise Europe, and MedCruise. Together, we represent over 400 ports and destinations, working collectively to develop sustainable solutions for tourism and environmental challenges in the European cruise industry.
Additionally, Cruise Norway maintains strategic partnerships with Ports of Norway, NHO Reiseliv, Virke, Innovation Norway, and CLIA, and participates in the Green Shipping program managed by DNV.
