Stranda Port Authority works continually to quality-assure our services to the highest standards, to protect the environment and to invest in new facilities and services. All the cruise terminals in the area, including Geiranger, Hellesylt and Stranda, are now establishing a fjord network, offering passenger embarkation and disembarkation. The new fjord network will strengthen today’s activities and excursions while simultaneously allowing for even more exciting offers.

All the cruise terminals in the area, including Geiranger, Hellesylt, and Stranda, are now establishing a fjord network of new quays, offering passenger embarkation and disembarkation via the fjord in smaller passenger vessels (300-400 pax) and buses connecting the terminals.

What to see & do in Geirangerfjord
Geirangerfjord is one of Norway’s most famous and visually striking fjords, and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its exceptional beauty and geological significance. The fjord is home to several stunning waterfalls, like the «Seven Sisters» and «The Suitor.» For those who love adventure, the area offers a variety of activities like hiking, kayaking, RIB-tours, and biking. The hiking trails around Geirangerfjord lead to spectacular viewpoints, offering panoramic views of the fjord and its surroundings.
From the cruise port, you can take organized excursions that explore the fjord by boat, take a bus tour up to the Dalsnibba mountain for incredible views, or even drive the scenic Trollstigen road.
Hellesylt is a hidden gem that provides travelers with a perfect mix of natural beauty, outdoor adventures, and Norwegian culture. The Hellesylt Waterfall is a beautiful sight, and from the Ljøen Viewpoint, you can enjoy sweeping views of Geirangerfjord.
Stranda and Strandafjellet – in the heart of the Sunnmøre Alps, offers family-friendly summer and winter experiences, a gondola lift, and fantastic views. The magnificent mountain and fjord scenery is a must-see tourist destination.
The Nordfjord region is just a short distance away. Several guided excursions from Hellesylt and Stranda to Stryn and Loen are available by bus, which will give you scenic views along the way.
